A major police operation that got underway in Montreal’s Mile-End neighbourhood after reports of a hostage situation at the building housing Ubisoft offices, may have been triggered by a hoax.
The police operation at the game developers’ office building, located at the intersection of St-Laurent Boulevard and St-Viateur Avenue, was launched following a 911 call.
Police began evacuating the building Friday afternoon and have yet to locate any suspect or confirm if it was a hoax.
