Bodycam footage released on Monday from Jan. 22 showed the dramatic rescue of a dog from a burning car by a police officer in Colorado.

Douglas County sheriff deputy Michael Gregorek began breaking the car windows with a baton, with the owner calling out to his dog, Hank. The owner tried pulling his dog out of the car but became overwhelmed.

Gregorek reached inside and managed to pull the dog out of the vehicle and put him down on the snow.

Hank the dog (a very good boy) was deemed fine by a neighbouring veterinarian.
