PM claims his plan to stop small boats is working

Rishi Sunak has announced two more barges will be used to house asylum seekers.

The Prime Minister did not say where the boats will be moored, but said they'll have capacity for an extra one thousand migrants who have entered the UK illegally.

It comes as the PM said the numbers making the crossing by small boats were down by a fifth since last year.
