PM ‘very, very surprised’ to receive partygate fine

The Prime Minister has said that he was “very, very surprised” to receive a fine after breaching lockdown rules in the events of ‘Partygate.’

This came during an interview with Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts, who relayed a question from a teacher on the forums who asked why Boris Johnson didn’t lose his job after breaking his own government’s covid rules.

He also said the event in question felt to him like “a work event” and that the birthday party he received the fine for was “miserable.”
