Lima's central Plaza San Martin has seen some severe violence as thousands of protesters clash with police for the sixth consecutive day. The demonstrators rallied against the new transitional government led by the recently sworn-in president Manuel Merino and Congress' decision to remove the former president Martin Vizcarra.
