On Thursday, the United States House of Representatives voted to remove GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from standing committees by a vote of 218-210.

It's just the latest controversy that has surrounded Greene since she was elected to the House of Representatives.

Speaking to reporters in Washington, D.C. earlier on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not reference Marjorie Taylor Greene by name, but did say she was "profoundly concerned" by the Republican Party's acceptance of an "extreme conspiracy theorist" into their ranks.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki also refused to comment directly on Greene, saying only that it was not the President's role to comment on "fissures in the Republican Party."

Greene has been the subject of controversy over her history of racist comments, ardent support for QAnon, and endorsement of far-right conspiracy theories that claim several mass school shootings were fake and that Jewish space lasers caused the 2018 California wildfires.
