Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke to reporters on Friday, a day after a fiercely divided House tossed her off both her committees, in an unprecedented punishment that Democrats said she’d earned by spreading hateful and violent conspiracy theories.

11 Republicans joined 219 Democrats in backing Greene’s ejection from her committees, while 199 GOP lawmakers voted “no.”

Greene blasted the decision removing her from the education and budget committees, saying, "They stripped my district of their voice. They stripped my voters of having representation to work for them."

Greene also took the opportunity to comment on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who, in her opinion, "fake[d] her outrage with another hoax" in reference to being at the Capitol building during the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Greene also said she was grateful to have had the opportunity to have said the things she doesn't believe and "shouldn't have said in the first place."
