A lack of capacity amid the worsening pandemic crisis has resulted in a situation in which some patients in Northern Ireland are having to be treated in the back of ambulances in hospital car parks, with one patient reportedly being cared for in this manner all night. The country begins a new six-week lockdown on Boxing Day.
