Guatemalans trekked to the Pacaya volcano on Wednesday night to watch lava flow down its slopes. The active volcano has become a popular tourist attraction in the rural area, but a threat to local's homes and livelihoods.
A group of locals came together for a procession where they prayed for an end to the eruption as well as a stop to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pacaya is one of Central America's most active volcanoes.
