Oxygen is in such short supply in India that families who can afford it are paying black market prices for the precious commodity.

About 1.7 million people in India have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past five days. In the last 24 hours, the country set a world record in its daily case count, with more than 352,000 cases reported.

There have been 2,800 confirmed deaths in the past day. But as Redmond Shannon reports, the actual death toll is believed to be much higher.
