Online Chess Olympiad: Five-time World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand is leading the Indian team in the largest World Online Chess Olympiad. Last year India and Russia were co-champions. Asked about an IPL-like model for chess, Mr Anand said there are some developments. "There are interesting developments there. But I think when someone is ready to make an announcement you will hear it. There are some talks. Hopefully, they will come to fruition," he said. NDTV's Sam Daniel spoke to the chess legend about the shift from board to online, impact of the pandemic on chess, among other things.
