India's tourism industry has been hit hard by the Omicron variant of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
Even though cases are lower than in many parts of the world, the government has imposed new restrictions on inbound travellers just days after fully reopening its borders.
Travel agencies and tour operators have said they had hoped international travellers would return, but the Omicron variant changed all that and that cancellations have increased during the holiday season.
