North Korea to deport US soldier who crossed border illegally

North Korea has said it plans to deport Private Travis King - a US soldier who crossed the border with South Korea in July 2023.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Private King confessed to illegally entering North Korea because he harboured "ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination" within the US Army.
