North Korea opened an art exhibition in Pyongyang to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, state media reported on Saturday.
In video footage provided by the North's official news agency KCNA, which Reuters cannot independently verify, visitors were seen looking around the exhibition and attending the opening ceremony at the Korean Art Gallery on Friday.
State media said the paintings featuring the state’s founder Kim Il Sung declaring the creation of the first revolutionary armed forces and military parade were displayed. North Korean founder Kim Il Sung organized the Korean People's Revolutionary Army on April 25 in 1932, and the day has been marked as a national holiday, according to KCNA.
