Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has told the Liaison Committee that "we've struck the right balance" between paying workers "fairly" and making sure the pay deal was affordable to the taxpayer.

Earlier this month, the government reached a pay deal with nurses and paramedics, whilst junior doctors remain in a dispute about pay conditions.
