Four new Sukhoi SU-30SM2 fighter jets were delivered to the Chernyakhovsk Air Base, near Kaliningrad, and will be part of the Russian Baltic Fleet. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the jets have more modern engines and radars than their predecessors, the SU-30 models, and can bear an extended arsenal of air-to-air and ground-to-air weapons.
