New energy demands clash with Canada's climate goals

Canada is stepping up to new global oil and gas demands, as countries distance themselves from Russian resources.

In a statement in March, Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson said Canada has capacity to increase oil and gas exports by up to 300,000 barrels per day in 2022, to help improve global energy security following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
