New COVID-19 cases show downward trend for first time in months

Canada's chief public health officer, Dr. Theresa Tam, said that even with the challenges posed by the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the virus's reproductive number has fallen below one for the first time in months. This means new infections are on a downward trend.
