Net Zero: Rishi Sunak lowers UK ambitions for reaching net zero

Despite the government's net zero pledge being legally binding, the PM has announced that he is reneging on some of the government's biggest green policies.

But Mr Sunak insists that his announcement on net zero policies does not change the government's overall commitment for the UK to be carbon-neutral by 2050.
