The boss of NatWest, Dame Alison Rose, has resigned after admitting she gave information to the BBC about Nigel Farage's relationship with the bank, and had made a "serious error of judgement".

The former Ukip leader called her departure a "start" but said the bank's entire board should go too. While the government said financial institutions were there to serve customers fairly, not to tell them how or what to think.
