Myanmar’s deposed leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, has been placed in solitary confinement in a prison.
The military government says all legal proceedings against her will no longer take place in a courtroom. Supporters say it is an intimidation tactic.
The unexplained move comes as a United Nations expert described the human rights situation in Myanmar as "catastrophic".
Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports.
