For eight and a half months, residents of Muriwai have relied on temporary tankers for their water supply.



Now, the water supply in the Auckland coastal community of Muriwai is back, but even this may only be a temporary measure.



The local treatment plant was buried when Cyclone Gabrielle hit in February 2023.
