Hundreds of residents in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco sought refuge in tents on Monday after their houses were destroyed by an 6.8 magnitude earthquake Friday night, while aid began to reach the most remote villages.
Members of Morocco's Civil Protection Services distributed aid packages in Amizmiz, where survivors struggled to find food and supplies amid store closures.
The death toll now stands at over 2,400 people, with at least 2,476 people injured in what's Morocco's most powerful earthquake since around 1900.
