A truck carrying 60 tons of fuel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia exploded on early Wednesday morning, killing at least six people and wounding at least 11 more.

The tanker explosion triggered an emergency response from roughly 600 firefighters — three of which died in a secondary blast.

The fire from the blast, which was later extinguished, hit the local Dunjingarav market and engulfed several nearby buildings and vehicles.

Mongolia’s deputy prime minister said the truck crashed into a small car and immediately exploded.
