US drugmaker Moderna has applied for emergency clearance from the US and European regulators for its vaccine.
Moderna is just a week behind Pfizer, which applied for emergency approval on November 20.
Moderna says its final trial results confirm it is more than 94 percent effective.
The Trump administration reiterated that distribution would begin shortly after the expected approvals of the Moderna and Pfizer shots.
