Laura Trott, chief secretary to the Treasury, has told Sky News that Rishi Sunak has no need to apologise for his jibe in parliament.

During the prime minister's weekly showdown with MPs and the leader of the opposition, Sunak said Sir Keir had broken promises on "defining a woman".
