Generation Y, or millennials, grew up having it all - they could do what they liked, be who they wanted to be, jobs and opportunities were there for the taking. It seemed the good times would never end. But then came the global financial crisis, and what a shock it was. Suddenly, jobs disappeared and life was tough. Gen Y didn't know what hit them, but these "kids" whom older generations thought were so spoilt also tended to be pretty imaginative, adventurous and resilient.
