JNU Violence: Delhi Police have registered an FIR in connection with a clash between two groups of students in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus, allegedly over non-vegetarian food being served in the hostel mess on the occasion of Ram Navami, officials said today. Communal clashes broke out in four states - Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal - during processions yesterday to mark Ram Navami - the festival celebrating the birth of Hindu God Ram. Amid hectic diplomatic activity with growing pressure from the West on India's oil deals with Russia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually meet with US President Joe Biden today. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, keeping his promise of June 2019 of revamping his cabinet in the middle of his term, has reconstituted it. The new cabinet has a mixture of senior and experienced leaders as well as fresh and young faces for balanced governance.
