Becoming a new parent can be a stressful time, and for some, comes with post-partum depression and anxiety. But for women becoming parents during the global pandemic, feelings of isolation have been amplified.
A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal revealed between March and November 2020, mental health visits during the first year after giving birth were 30 per cent higher than pre-pandemic.
