Matt Ratana: Killer of Met Sergeant sentenced to life in prison

Louis De Zoysa, who shot dead Metropolitan Police custody sergeant Matt Ratana after smuggling a gun into a holding cell in Croydon, south London, has been sentenced to life in prison.

During the sentencing, Mr Justice Jeremy Johnson said Sgt Ratana had "devoted his life to public service", having worked in policing for 30 years.
