The International Criminal Court has opened an investigation into allegations of new war crimes in Sudan's Darfur region. Among the many incidents that the court will look into is the discovery of a mass grave in West Darfur state.
Both the Sudanese military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces have been accused of war crimes in the latest fighting, which broke out three months ago.
