Al Jazeera's senior political analyst, Marwan Bishara, joined us from Paris to discuss this.
He expressed disbelief about the ongoing crisis in Gaza, hinting at warnings by aid organizations and the UN that have been ignored for months. Marwan argued that the starvation of the Gaza residents isn't a coincidental event, but rather a deliberate act by the Israelis, aiming to inflict as much suffering as possible. He noted the strategy as a cost-effective way to cause harm, emphasizing the state terror implemented by Israel.
Marwan criticized Israel's deception over the past five months and expressed frustration over world leaders only offering words and no action. He called out world leaders for not exerting enough pressure on Israel to ensure food delivery to Gaza. As the crisis continues to unfold, he insinuated the failure of Israel's allies in the West to act.
