‘The war on Gaza has run its course and it’s time for America to choose’: Marwan Bishara

Mediator Qatar says Hamas has given a “generally positive” response to a proposed truce deal with Israel, as the Palestinian group reiterated its demand for an end to the Israeli assault on Gaza.

Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst, Marwan Bishara, highlights the expectations of Secretary Blinken's visit to the region, where he emphasizes that the war on Gaza has run its course and it’s time for America to choose: it cannot be a credible mediator of the conflict while continuing to provide unconditional support to Israel‘s aggression. Bishara also emphasized that it is high time for the Biden administration to stop acting holier than thou and start using its leverage to pressure Israel to end its genocide in Gaza.
