Man kicked in head by police officer at Manchester Airport has cyst on brain, lawyer says

A man who was kicked in the head and stamped on by a police officer at Manchester Airport has a cyst on his brain, a lawyer for his family has said.

Akhmed Yakoob made the comment in a statement outside Rochdale Police Station, a day after footage of the incident was shared widely on social media.

Greater Manchester Police had been responding to reports of an assault at Terminal 2 at 8.25pm on Tuesday before the incident took place. An officer has now been suspended.
