A Chilliwack, B.C., man protesting the noise of a pickleball court near his house has ended his hunger strike. Rajnish Dhawan started his strike on July 23, frustrated by the constant noise beside his property.
He told Global News the sound had not stopped since the sport gained popularity last year. The courts were first installed in Chilliwack's Portage Park in 2019.
After 50 hours with no food, Dhawan says progress has been made, and the strike is over. Dhawan says people have a better understanding about his experience with the noise since speaking out.
