Police in the American state for Wisconsin have charged a man with intentional homicide, after a vehicle in the city of Waukesha drove at speed into a Christmas parade, killing five people and injuring nearly 50 others.
Darrell Brooks, who is 39, is charged with five counts of intentional homicide. It’s alleged that he was involved in a “domestic dispute” shortly before the incident. Police have ruled out terrorism.
The vehicle hit members of a marching band and a local hospital says it’s treated 18 children among the injured.
