Man arrested after stabbing near to the British Museum

A stabbing occurred outside of the entrance to the British Museum.

The victim was subsequently taken to hospital as a result of the stabbing, which has been described by officers as an isolated incident.

Police say there is "no outstanding risk" to the public, and it is not being treated as a terror incident.

A man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
