Even with the coronation of King Charles III just two days away, a new poll conducted exclusively for Global News by Ipsos found only three in 10 Canadians plan to watch the ceremony.

It comes as a growing number of Canadians are feeling a disconnect to the monarchy, with just 37 per cent having a favourable opinion of the new King, and 44 per cent having an unfavourable view.

Erica Vella speaks with Canadians to get their take on the coronation, the monarchy and whether they believe the monarchy still has a place in society.
