Lukashenko: Wagner boss Prigozhin is in Russia and not in Belarus

Belarusian President Alexandr Lukashenko said the Wagner Group leader is in Russia and "may" be in St Petersburg or Moscow, but definitely not on "the territory of Belarus".

He also said he was not worried about the Wagner's mercenaries turning on Belarus at any stage and that they could instead be used to defend the country.

The 62-year-old has not been seen in public since he was driven out of the Russian city of Rostov after he ordered his men to stand down, and speculation has continued over his future and that of his mercenary group.
