Police and officials in Louisville, Ky., provided an update on Monday after at least four people were killed in a shooting at a bank building downtown. The shooter is also dead after police exchanged gunshots when responding to the incident.
Eight others were brought to the hospital, including one police officer in critical condition, after the Monday morning shooting at the Old National Bank.
Police believe the suspected gunman acted alone and had a connection to the bank, appearing to be a former or current employee.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear grew emotional as he said that he knew two of the people killed and one injured in the shooting.
*Another victim has succumbed to their injuries, increasing the death toll to 6.
