Lord Hain: Foster was 'gullible' over Brexit assurances from Boris Johnson

Former Northern Ireland Secretary, Lord Peter Hain, says that the biggest failure of the DUP and Arlene Foster was 'hitching it's waggon to Brexit'.

Lord Hain said that Boris Johnson was not honest with Mrs Foster about pledges of no Brexit border down the Irish sea, and that she was 'taken in by it'.

The deal signed with the European Union to facilitate free-trade between GB and NI has since caused problems people living in the province, and for the DUP.
