Orange paint was sprayed over the showroom of luxury carmaker Aston Martin on London's Park Lane on Sunday during a protest by "Just Stop Oil" climate activists.

Just Stop Oil has been holding protests for the last two weeks in the British capital, including throwing soup on a Vincent Van Gogh painting at the National Gallery, in a bid to stop government approval of new oil and gas projects.

Nearby in Hyde Park on Sunday, protesters from the Extinction Rebellion climate activist group gathered ahead of a march to Parliament Square.

Scientists and doctors were among those who gathered, some of whom denounced plans by the U.K. Home Secretary Suella Braverman to crack down on "disruptive" and "attention-seeking protestors."

On Saturday, the home secretary said on Twitter that she planned to bring forward a Public Order Bill that would give police stronger powers to deal with protesters causing "serious disruption."
