Local politicians send Tennessee lawmaker back to office

Shelby County Commissioners sent Democrat Justin J. Pearson, the second lawmaker ousted for supporting gun control protests, back to the Tennessee Legislature on Wednesday in a 7-0 vote. 'People spoke up loudly and all we did was do what the people wanted us to do,' commission chairman Mickell M. Lowery told Power & Politics.
