After Russia’s failed mission to the moon’s south pole, global attention has now shifted to the Indian equivalent. Chandrayann-3 is the country’s third moon rocket and - just like the Russian - it will attempt to land on the moon's south pole. India last attempted this in 2019, a mission that ended when the landing module and its rover crashed on the moon’s surface. Close to where the Chandrayann-3 is scheduled to land.
