Small rocket builder Rocket Lab USA makes a first attempt to catch a falling four-story-tall Electron rocket booster from mid-air with a helicopter, a key milestone in its reusability strategy. Hinging on good weather, the capture test is due to take place off the coast of Mahia, New Zealand, the location of Rocket Lab's primary launch site.
