Liberal Democrat leader refuses six times to say austerity was a mistake

The leader of the Liberal Democrats Sir Ed Davey has refused six times to say austerity was a mistake while being interviewed by Sky News.

Mr Davey served as a minister under David Cameron after his party and the Tories did a deal to run the country following the 2010 election.

Between then and 2015, his government oversaw swathing cuts to public services.
