Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen has said he worries that the proposed tax-cuts being made by those in the race to become the next Prime Minister could put the levelling-up agenda "on the back-burner".

He said "areas like Teesside have been left behind for many, many decades" and that he will show support for a leadership contender who commits to developing the levelling-up agenda.
