In January, Brazil's government declared a public health emergency in the Yanomami Indigenous territory, the largest in the country. Communities there are still suffering from malaria and malnutrition. And they are not alone.

Al Jazeera's Monica Yanakiew travelled to the Javari Valley in the Amazon, where new diseases and a lack of medication are putting Indigenous lives at risk.
