Sue Gray, the former top civil servant who investigated Downing Street lockdown parties when Boris Johnson was Prime Minister, is set to become Labour leader Keir Starmer's new Chief of Staff.

Shadow Culture Secretary Lucy Powell has said that Sue Gray is "impartial" and "really good at her job" after her appointment was described as a "stitch up" by allies of Boris Johnson.
