Labour claims Rwanda bill is 'unworkable' as Tory rebellion fizzles out

Labour has accused the prime minister of being "weak" with the Conservative party too divided to come up with a workable plan to tackle illegal immigration.

Speaking to Sophy Ridge, Labour's Liz Kendall said she "can't believe" more time is being spent on voting for an "unworkable scheme", referring to the Rwanda bill.

"I mean, Einstein's definition of madness was to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result, and that is what we are seeing here," she said.
